Born from a feeling

There’s a particular kind of magic that happens when everything aligns.

A candle burning low. Music drifting from somewhere. A book so good you’ve forgotten what time it is.

Itàná was born from that feeling, the belief that a sensory experience can transport you just as completely as any story. That the right scent in the right moment doesn’t just fill a room, it opens one.

The name comes from a Yoruba-inspired blend of two words: Itàn, meaning story, and Iná, meaning fire.

Say it aloud: ee-tah-NAH and it already feels like something worth remembering.

The Craft

Born from a feeling

Every Itàná candle is hand-poured in the UK using natural coconut wax chosen for its clean, slow burn and the way it carries scent so richly and fully into a room.

Coconut wax is plant-based, renewable, and burns longer and cleaner than most alternatives.

Each candle uses a wooden wick. Because that soft, crackling sound isn’t just beautiful, it’s the sound of your ritual beginning.

The Scents

Four stories, four moods

We launched with four scents, each one named for a reading moment rather than its ingredients, because the feeling always comes first.

  • The Quiet Chapter: mulberry and thyme. Ancient, earthy, alive. For the moments between the world and the page.

  • The Ritual: rose and oud. Bold, ceremonial, unforgettable.
Light this when the moment matters.

  • Just One More Page: rhubarb and custard. Warm, nostalgic, deeply comforting. For the ones who never stop at one more page.

  • Lost Between the Pages: lavender and sage. Calming, spiritual, intentional. Some scents don’t just fill a room they clear it.

The Refill

The jar is just the start of the story

We made Itàná refillable from the beginning, because the jar is just the start of the story.

When your candle burns down, you don’t have to throw it away. You refill it. The same jar, a new chapter. It’s a small act, but we believe small acts are something that feels genuinely good to do.

The Ritual

An invitation

Itàná isn’t just a candle brand. It’s an invitation.

To slow down. To light something. To put on a record or open a book and let the world get a little smaller and a little warmer for a while.

We make the candle. You write the rest.
